Functionals are technical operations that a site performs. I employ PHP as a scripting language. There are infinite functionals where anything that can be thought of, really is possible.
A simple function is a contact form that delivers the contents of the form to an email address. A system to sell a product that is available in 3 colors and is available at a discount to distributors, is a complex functional. These examples are both common functionals, however one is much more complex to program.
Databases
Some functions require both scripting and a database. Basically, A database stores data (can be anything) and the scripting accesses that data and returns it to the web page for display. I can integrate your existing databases with most online applications, including 3rd party code or scripts that I write.
